Walkers are digging out their boots this week with the start of the South West Coast Path Association’s 2014 charity event, the Great South West Walks from September 20 to 28.

There’ll be over 100 circular walks to choose from that cater for all different levels and abilities. Many of the walks are themed, covering topics such as local geology, wildlife and history, and each is led by an expert guide.
The walks span the Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and Somerset coastlines and there are still places available, so anyone interested in taking part and helping to raise money for the maintenance of the coast path is encourage to sign up now. There are many family friendly walks on offer and children can come for free.
